Cookie Policy
Last updated · 2026-05-12
This Cookie Policy describes the small text files that the SWB website stores in your browser, what each one is used for and how you can control them. It is part of and consistent with our Privacy Policy: this page focuses on the technical detail, while the Privacy Policy covers the legal framework around personal data.
How we group cookies
We split cookies into four categories. Strictly necessary cookies are always on because the site cannot operate without them. Analytics, AI demos and audio are optional categories that you can switch on or off independently in the cookie banner or in the settings linked from it.
When you accept or reject a category, that choice is stored locally in your browser and synced to your anonymous session so the site behaves consistently across pages.
Strictly necessary cookies
swb_session is a first-party cookie that stores a randomly generated opaque identifier. It allows the site to keep your demo quotas, remember your cookie preferences and protect against abuse. Without it, the site cannot tell apart legitimate users from bots and the demos cannot be served safely.
The cookie is set on first visit, lasts up to sixty days of inactivity and contains no personal data. It cannot be disabled, but you can clear it at any time from your browser settings.
Analytics
If you accept the analytics category, the site records anonymous events such as page views, button clicks and demo starts. These events are sent to our MongoDB Atlas database and keyed against your anonymous session. We use them to understand which content and which demos are useful and to improve them.
Analytics events do not include your name, email, IP address or any direct identifier. You can revoke consent at any time and existing events will expire automatically through a 12-month TTL.
AI demos
If you accept the AI demos category, the chat, RAG and vision tools can send the text or image you submit to Groq for inference. The response is generated server-side and shown back to you. Inputs and outputs are stored briefly against your session so the conversation remains coherent.
If you reject this category, the AI demos remain visible but the interactive parts will be disabled and you will be invited to opt in before each session.
Audio
If you accept the audio category and grant microphone permission, the voice demo records up to fifteen seconds of audio per turn and sends it to Groq Whisper for transcription. The transcript is then used to generate a reply with Llama and optionally to produce a synthesised voice answer.
We do not retain the raw audio. The transcript and the reply are kept against your session so we can show you the conversation and enforce the quota. Withdrawing consent stops further recordings immediately.
Managing your preferences
You can change your choices at any time from the cookie banner or from a settings link that we will surface in the site footer. Your browser also gives you complete control: you can block all cookies, delete the ones already stored or set per-site rules.
Blocking strictly necessary cookies will likely break the site. Blocking only the optional categories simply disables the corresponding features.
Third-party services
Some integrations introduce their own cookies once you actively interact with them. Clicking the floating WhatsApp button opens a WhatsApp Web context governed by Meta cookies. Booking a consultation through Google Calendar exposes you to Google's own cookies.
We do not control these third-party cookies. Please consult the privacy notices of WhatsApp / Meta and Google to understand them.
Updates to this policy
When we add or remove a cookie, or when we change the way an existing cookie is used, we update this page and bump the lastUpdated date. If the change affects an optional category, we also reset the matching consent so you can choose again.
